Dr. Charlotte Sunseri received her doctorate in 2009 from the University of California-Santa Cruz. Her research integrates zooarchaeology with her degree in mathematics to explore the social contexts in which native Californians made economic decisions. She is interested in the ways in which creative social solutions to subsistence or other economic stressors are related to the emergence of social inequality and food domestication in some settings. Currently, Dr. Sunseri is a senior archaeologist at William Self Associates, Inc.
